CLCA Support of the Centennial Library
While the Albany County Public Library provides the books and a part-time librarian, the Centennial Branch Library depends on support from the Centennial Library and Cultural Association. CLCA is a 501(3)(C) volunteer organization whose mission is to provide library services, cultural programs, and space for community gatherings to the Centennial Valley. CLCA maintains the building and grounds where the Centennial Branch Library resides, pays for utilities, insurance, snow removal, and provides volunteers to manage library services, such as book check-out and computer access. ​
ACPL Responsibilities
Provide a Librarian:
The Librarian will oversee library operations and ensure shift coverage for at least six (6) operating hours per week.

Upkeep & Maintenance:
This includes circulation equipment, library furniture/supplies, staff/volunteer training, and other costs relevant to library operations.
​
Technology & Internet:
ACPL will cover all telephone, internet, computer, and technical support expenses.​
​
Library Policies & Procedures:
This includes daily operations regarding collections, patron interactions, and respectful use of library/CLCA spaces.

Communicate with CLCA on matters that affect the building This includes any questions, feedback, and updates that might affect the building's operations.

CLCA Responsibilities
Upkeep of the Building:
This includes utilities (electricity, water, sewage), maintenance, repairs, and all relevant real estate/property/personal taxes.
​
Community Space:
Such as community events, kitchenette supplies, Book Sale operations, bathroom materials, and cleaning supplies.
​
Provide Proof of Building Hazard Insurance:
Updated documentation should be readily available for the CLCA and ACPL •so that it is easily accessible.

Recruit volunteers:
All volunteers will be recruited by the CLCA and trained by the ACPL. Library shifts depend on trained volunteers. The library will be open depending on coverage.
